![]() Thought it was an interesting comment Mike Davis made about David Williams comparing him to AP. He's one of our tallest backs at 6'1", runs a 4.3, and looks to run over people. Even if I'm not sure it's necessary to take him off redshirt now, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him out on the field. He's gonna be a good one.

![]() Saw that as well. We COULD have the best running back tandem in football next year. That and QBs could make for a great offense. We need that kind of talent and depth on defense as well.

![]() His high school film is very TJ Yeldon-like.
Tall with a ton of speed.

![]() I was thinking the same thing with the tj yeldon comparison. Comparing anyone to AP is hard to do but he does have similar height weight speed ratios. I could see him when he puts on a lil more weight bein a lot like Arian foster as well

![]() A bit of an exaggeration on Mike's part.. Adrian Peterson is one of the top 5 backs already to ever play the game. I like that MD has high hopes for Williams and holds him in such regard.

Sands said there is no questioning his running ability. It is already excellent. The only thing keeping him out of games is blitz pickup and pass blocking.

We all hope David Williams has that kind of talent and career, but to say it at this point is a little ludicrous. |

![]() I would go with:
5. L. Tomlinson - Folks always forget about this guy. 4. E. Smith 3. W. Payton 2. B. Sanders 1. J. Brown. Honorable Mention: - M. Faulk - E. Dickerson - OJ. Simpson

![]() I'm sure Mike didn't intend for the comment to be taken too seriously but I hope he realizes that if an Adrian Peterson type back were on the sidelines for us, Mike would be riding the pine. lol

![]() Exactly, the comparison is more of a measurables and running style standpoint. Obviously he's not as good as Adrian Peterson.

![]() Barry Sanders is always at the top of my list, he never had an oline to speak of.
Walter Payton would be a close tie for the #1 spot. |

![]() My list
1)Jim Brown not only greatest RB,but greatest player ever 2)Walter Payton 3)OJ Simpson 230 pounds with Olympic speed 4)Eric Dickinson 5) Barry Sanders my personal favorite was Gale Sayers, but knee injuries cut his career too short. Earl Campbell and Tony Dorsett were also considered. Of the recent guys Peterson is a possible addition to the top 5. |

![]() How about the best CFB RBs?
1. Herschel Walker 2. Ricky Williams 3. Archie Griffin 4. Earl Campbell 5. Darren McFadden Barry Sanders had the best single season by a RB, but only started 1 year. Bo Jackson was a freak of a talent, but his numbers don't stack up to McFadden or Walkers. Ron Dayne had amazing numbers too, but not sure he's as talented as the 5 listed and benefited from that Wisconsin system. |
