Default Bought A Marlin Model 25 .22LR

This will ultimately be a gun that I will teach my son to shoot with. I was planning on waiting a couple more years but I was able to pick this one up for a pretty good deal. I'll eventually scope it but for now it's fun for target practice.

My first gun a .22 LR Dad got it at Sears. Just a plain ol' single shot, bolt action. Probably 20 bucks back in the mid 60's. Wouldn't take a million for it.

Guns are great for passing down and can carry a lot of 'stories' with them through the generations. And, everybody should have a small caliber gun around the house, imo.

That's what I plan on doing with my Ruger SP 101

First gun I ever bought as my conceal carry was the Ruger SP101. Love that gun. Can't beat its reliability and I love the fact that I can use the .38 specials when at the range and the .357's when I'm carrying mine. Just wish it held more than 5.

Hit up the pawn shops and see if you can get a Weaver K4 scope. If you want a modern turret style the BSA sweet .22 is really good for the money.

What barrel length did you get?
Mine's 4.2"
