Default Shaws heart and leadership compared to Tebow...

Saw Eddie George on ESPN last night say he has not seen a QB with the toughness and heart in the SEC that Shaw possess since Tebow. He was putting us on upset alert but stated with Shaw the Gamecocks have a chance with any team in the country, he also stated Davis is a beast. He thought after coming off such an emotional victory we would have to work really hard to get up for this game....The legend grows and the program continues to stay relevant in college football with a bright future in front of us, this could still be the year, believe and just win!

I agree and have no doubt the coaches as well as the upper classmen and fans will help us come out ready to play from the opening kickoff.

Shaw will be dominate today. Davis will be on revenge mode from the turnovers last week. We beat the brakes off of Mississippi Sate today...

I think Shaw is a bit faster than Tebow, and has a better arm. But Tebow is bigger and stronger, and less injury prone.

Shaw would make a better pro though.

I cant help but look at Shaw, and see flashes of Brett Favre. Same arm type, same mobility, same toughness.

I don't see favre as a good comparison. Favre will let the ball out of his hands, even if sometimes it's covered, he will fire it in there with velocity and atleast give the WR a chance for it. That's why he has so many INTS in his career, because he wasn't afraid to just let the ball go. I think Spurrier wishes Shaw would just fire it out sometimes, but shaw manages the game and knows he dosent have to do it all.

Yeah, very true. I meant more just the skill set. Same type of arm, mobility, etc. Personalities are very different. But an NFL coach and a few years of grooming could open Shaw up a little. I bet he gets a good 3-5 years as a backup in the NFL, a chance to make some good money. He deserves it.

There is no comparison between other qb's. Shaw is Shaw. He stands alone to me as a great leader and player in the last couple of years. I'm glad he's finally getting some love.

Connor is a stud despite only converting 1 out of 1 million 3rd downs today we played darn well as a unit considering what just happened last week. Kicking that old Carolina mentality out if it weren't for the Ute debacle it would be more obvious to everyone else.

Connor isn't as rah rah vocal and a glory hound like Tebow. Connor is a field general that can lead a group of men though his example.

loved his posture after the last score to Adams. throws a TD, salutes DT, walks of the field.

Shaw is the man. He can be frustrating at times, but I think he gets just as frustrated with himself as fans do, if not more.

But instead of sulking or pouting on the sideline, he jumps back in there and tries to do better on the next drive.

The most important thing is that he has improved since last year. It has been a long time since we've seen a QB progress rather than regress from year to year.

Shaw does none of that tebow stuff really. but SKip bayless would saY "all he does is win".

Theres a reason Shaw is overlooked and underrated while Tebow is an over-glorified media figure. Tebow did more obviously in his career overall but i'm just saying.

It has been nice having leaders on this team that make their noise on the field instead of in five points.
