Default Coach of the Year--FBS

Well, if people cared what you thought...

Who would YOU vote for as Coach of the Year

I personally would vote for Cutcliffe...hell of a job at DUKE of all places, close second being Gus Malzahn

It's between Cutcliffe, Malzahn and Briles. There are caveats though, Gus recruited a lot of those kids to Auburn and Cutcliffe's division is down but they're still dang impressive performances.

Why is Franklin included? Might as well throw Wisconsin's Gary Anderson and Orgeron in there if Franklin is considered.

What Cutcliffe is doing in Durham is awesome and I'm pulling for them every week to stir the ACC pot. That said, I see and read a lot about Briles living out here and continue to be impressed so he got my vote.

Saban because #1, lost good players from last year but incorporated more good players and beat all comers so far.

If Baylor remains undefeated, he gets it. But, they have some tough games left.

When do they vote? After the SECCG?

Malzahn will probably get the nod since it's SEC. However, it's not like they're that far removed from a National Title. I understand they had a HORRIBLE season last year, but they still have a national title in the past 5 years ... they're not horrible.

It'd have to be Cutcliff or Fisher. I'm going Cutcliff, because it's Duke and I'm a homer.

If Duke beats Wake Forest and UNC, there's no reason Cutcliff shouldn't win it hands down.

Yeah it is the EZZ, but this is Duke we're talking about.

When do they vote on this? If you can tell me what happens in the iron bowl and/or sec title game and whether duke wins out and doesn't get slaughtered too badly by FSU I can give you a more definitive answer.

What Cutcliffe is doing at Duke is why they even give out this award.

If he wins out and gets to he ACC championship game it's his no matter what goes on any where else. If they win the thing he should get it next year to just because one this year wouldn't be enough.

I was about to ask the same thing. I'm an SEC guy, so it's between Malzahn and Pinkel to me. Really can't say until it's all over and the dust settles on a completed season (regular and post) IMO.

right now I'd go with Briles. However they are about to hit a tough stretch schedule wise. Really too early to say.

I like what O'Leary has going on down at UCF too. If they make a BCS game you have to at least consider him.

Pinkel's been there for a decade. They told him to get it into gear or get out, he finally got his stuff together.
