Default So what exactly is Shaw's knee injury?

I know it's hurt, but I haven't seen an exact report of what the injury is. Is it a sprain? Is something torn? I was wondering the chances of him being healed up 100% for clemson.

A sprain is something torn.

So to actually address the question without dissecting it....

I don't think it was ever fully disclosed other than the mushmouth stuff Spurrier usually says about injuries and doubt it will be until after the season if ever.

The only thing that I have seen is that Shaw has a knee sprain, but that there was no substantial ligament damage and that surgery was not needed. Connor is still dealing with the injury however, despite USC having the bye week for him to heal a bit. I saw once or twice during the UF game where he was tackled or sacked and he got up and limped a bit, so it's not 100% by a long shot...

I can't imagine his shoulder is 100% either. A spained shoulder is nothing to sneeze at...even a mild one. It's pretty likely neither will be 100% until sometime after the season is over.

A lot of fans assume Connor is slowed by the injury because he didn't have any big scramble plays against UF. However, in my opinion, I don't think we fans can judge the extent of his lower extremity injury recovery based on the UF game. The UF defense is fast, and they played a good scheme to keep Connor contained in the pocket.

Someone posted on another site said he has a deep knee bruise and it usually takes 6-7 weeks to fully recover. I think the injury occurred against Tenn which was October 19.

this is what I'm thinking, when he rolled out and got out of the pocket he showed some speed but UF's D is just fast as hell.
