Default QB stats: Should they be changed?

I have heard a few announcers talking about how hot DT has been of late and how a "drop" broke a completion streak. Should a QB's stats be more like a pitchers with wild pitch vs. passed ball? We penalize a QB when he hits a WR in the hands and The WR flat out drops it. The same thinking can be applied to INTs. If an INT is a receiver's fault (deflection that hits him on the hands) the QB should not be penalized.
Thoughts?

No its too subjective. Was it a drop because he made a heck of a play on a bad throw to even get his hands on it?

Baseball is also subjective in calling a wild pitch vs passed ball or error vs hit. The statistician would look at the play to determine whether it was a incompletion or drop. These stats are already being kept..... Just not really applied to QB and WR stat lines.

Wins and losses the only stats that matter.

I agree, it's just like baseball. There are some rules of thumb when it comes to wild pitch vs pass ball, same thing could easily apply, I've never really under stood why its not like that in football...

I also like how the NFL counts sack yardage against passing yards, its a more accurate description of why yards were lost.

I would argue baseball is too subjective as well. "Official scorers" routinely give people hits or errors that could go either way since they are employed by the home team and not mlb. But it isn't the same. In the wild pitch/passed ball debate the catcher is stationary. Either the ball is in the dirt or super high for a wild pitch or it is the catchers fault. Pretty cut and dry versus a wr running wide open and getting to a poorly thrown ball. Also busta vs nick Jones sheer size will change whether the ball hits someone on the hands.

I will also say I like the NFL putting sack yardage on passing instead of rushing stats.
