Default Foreign Accent Syndrome

Quote:
One year ago, we introduced you to Donna Speer, a Midlands woman who began talking with a foreign accent after suffering a severe migraine. It's called foreign accent syndrome, and since we told you her story, her life hasn't been the same.

Default Re: Foreign Accent Syndrome

As a physical therapist I have worked with a ton of CVA (stroke) patients and it is very common that these patients have some difficulty with communication.

One lady was in her 50's and as I was addressing her initially she started speaking what sounded to me like German! She was able to follow directions though and we were able to treat her despite this issue. Now I realize what this syndrome is, and it's amazing!
