I think I paid like 15 bucks for a Corel editor a few years ago, maybe I bought it on Amazon. It was definitely worth the price. I made a 15 minute video for my dad's birthday, everyone was crying like babies. There should be several options at that pricepoint that are superior to the free ones. Check out the reviews on amazon for best intel.

Before I got a Mac and FCP Pro, I used CyberLink Powerdirector. Highly recommend it! I think it was around $50 at the time.
