Default bbq Chuck roast

I'm thinking on a big olé Chuck roast with a rub and misted base sauce low and slow over smokeon Saturday.
Any thoughts. .. Never done a Chuck in the smoker. Should be tender and very
flavourable.

Chuck is a cut that I think really benefits from a slow braising. Otherwise you would have to do it as slow as brisket. Maybe giving it 2-3 of hours smoke and then finish it slowly in liquid. A flavorful mix of spices, beef broth, and red wine in a slooow cooker might work. Sort of like the Texas crutch for ribs. A couple of handfuls of mushrooms thrown in would not hurt either. How have y'all been?

I've done chuck in a smoker, finished it in tin foil and it was fall-apart. Turned out really good.

Dog gone this was good -slow smoke for a couple of hours then 1.5 hours in foil in the low oven with the BBQ sc and beer.
