Default 2015 - Will Brunson

Quote:
Rising junior QB Will Brunson (6-3 180) of Carolina Forest is hearing from USC, Clemson, Charleston Southern, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, East Carolina and Louisville. Brunson attended a three-day camp at Louisville recently and got a good look at the program. “They have great facilities and I liked it a lot,” he said. “It was an overnight camp so I got to see a lot of the school. We did stuff like going to the film room and studying film, like two-minute offense, and thing likes that. Teddy Bridgewater spoke to us and that was pretty cool. The coaches haven’t stopped by the school yet but I think they’re interested.” Brunson grew up a Clemson fan but is unsure of their interest level. “They’ve got a big-time quarterback coming in this class so I don’t know what their plans are for next year,” said Brunson. “We’ll just have to see.” He is also interested in the Gamecocks. Brunson believes that Virginia Tech and East Carolina have shown the most interest but does not have any favorites. “I really need to focus on my junior season because that’s what most schools are going to look at,” he said. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,300 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Duke is the early leader for QB Will Brunson of Carolina Forest. He is hearing from USC, Clemson, Duke, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, East Carolina and North Carolina. Duke, however, appears to be courting Brunson the hardest. “I guess I would have to say Duke (is my leader) since they’ve shown the most interest,” he said. “I think David Cutcliffe does a great job with quarterbacks and it’s a great atmosphere. I love the campus.” Brunson has visited several schools including USC and Clemson and was in Columbia for the Kentucky game. “It was awesome,” Brunson said. “Great atmosphere…we spent the day up there. I went with my coach and teammate, Xavier Jones.” He plans to attend the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game as well as UNC-Duke before the season ends. Through seven games Brunson has thrown for 2,061 yards and 21 touchdowns this season. Though Duke is his early leader, he says “It’ still up for grabs.”

Junior QB Will Brunson of Carolina Forest is waiting on his first offer but continues to hear from Duke, Tennessee, Florida State and East Carolina. Duke and Tennessee, according to Brunson, are showing the most interest. Brunson is very interested in Duke and is a big fan of David Cutcliffe. With Cutcliffe losing his offensive coordinator to Florida, a name that surfaced has Brunson even more excited about the Blue Devils. “I heard somewhere that Steve Spurrier, Jr. might be a candidate for that job,” he said. “I know it’s his alma mater. Coach Spurrier and I talk a lot and I really like him. That would be really cool.” Brunson attended several camps last summer and is planning to be more selective this season. “I will probably only attend camps of schools that are showing interest,” he said. “I do know I’ll be going to spring practices at Duke and Tennessee, though.” Brunson finished season 196 for 301. He threw for 2,967 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He does not have a leader.

Quote:
With his senior season around the corner, QB Will Brunson of Carolina Forest understands the importance of camps this summer. He has several in mind. Brunson has been hearing from Duke for some time and is showing a lot of interest in the Blue Devils. It is one of the camps he plans to attend.
“I like Duke a lot,” he said. “I am definitely going to camp there. I still have to talk to my dad but we have several schools in mind.” One of those is Cincinnati. “They just called me recently and told me how much they want me to come up for a camp,” Brunson said. He was confident that Cincinnati will be one of his destinations this summer. He also mentioned USC, East Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky as probable locations. Brunson has not received his first offer and wants to use these camps as an opportunity to showcase his skills.
Before the summer arrives, Brunson plans to attend as many spring practices as possible including USC and Tennessee. He does not have a leader.

Quote:
QB Will Brunson of Carolina Forest is hearing from Duke, Charlotte, Tennessee, Cincinnati and Kentucky. He is still looking for that first offer and said that Charlotte and Duke appear to be the most interesting. Each school is maintaining contact with Brunson and telling him the same thing.
“They just keep up with me and tell me how much they want me to come see them this summer so that they can evaluate me in person,” Brunson said.
So that is what he is planning to do. Barring any unforeseen situation, Brunson plans to attend camps at each of these schools.
His most recent activity included The Elite 11 Regional camp in Atlanta and the Nike Camp in Charlotte. He will attend the Shrine Bowl Camp April 29th.
Brunson does not have any favorites and looks forward to his first offer.
