I don't hate the idea...wish it would happen...that's a franchise at the top of the food chain.

I think it's probably Seattle. Harbaugh is already trying to revive Gabberts career, I don't think they'd then use that high of a draft pick on another QB. Seattle just got Pryor but it seems more likely they will use him as a WR/TE and as a practice QB because he plays similar to Kap. It also would make sense because they're penny pinchers in Seattle and I don't think Schneider will like the number Wilson will ask for when it comes time to negotiate a contract. If They think they have a QB that can do the same job for $600k they won't pay Wilson $15 M+. At his best Wilson is a good NFL QB, at his worst he is a game manager. Not entirely irreplaceable and probably not worth the money he will get.

I don't disagree with your thoughts here, I just think that with Marcus in the 49er locker room, the mgmt has a good idea of what they would be getting.
I've never really liked the 9ers but if this comes to fruition, I will become a fan (already like to see them do well because of Marcus)!

yes he is, but he has a much bigger arm and he's more accurate. When Brady is done, Mallett will take over. If he goes to NE, he'll probably end up being a WR. But they've had plenty of success with short white guys at WR so why not?

I'm sure he'd rather go to NE and "ride the pine" for 5 years than go get a real job. He'd make enough to retire and do whatever he wanted to do. I'm sure he'd get into coaching to follow his daddy

maybe New England is looking to use Shaw much like they use Julian Edelman (who was a QB in college). Just food for thought...New England may be thinking outside the box

The fact that they came down to SC workout Shaw is good.

I mean, at this point, most players go to the home of the NFL team.

All positive.

BTW, Clowney and Bruce are working out for the Falcons today in Atl.

They have already begun "shopping" Mallett, I think he is gone from NE after this year since he will be a FA, maybe even an UFA. There will be teams out there that will offer the $$ Ryan will be asking for, the Pats will not be one of them.

Not really...arm strenght is something they question about him...and accuracy, hard to get more accurate than Connor. They are about the same.
Manziel's freakishness is in his playmaking...dude can move like a cat and can see the field in an instant while making big plays on the move. Sometimes just plays on a different level.

Many people thought Brady would ride the pine forever behind Bledsoe. You never know what might happen.

Browns are going to take two. One with their early 1st round pick then they'll trade down and get another one in the 4th-6th...Connor Shaw.

Seriously doubt Mallett is staying that long man. He can be a starter somewhere as soon as his rookie contract is up. Someone will give him that shot, and I don't know why he would stay if they do. Brady is not retiring before then.

I have seen Connor rated 5-6th rounder, but his work ethic, smarts and character will move him higher. I think someone takes a shot on him in the 5th round. What I now find amazing is Tajh Boyd has cratered to a consensus 7th rounder, maybe undrafted. What a mistake he made coming back and sipping the Yabo Dabo doo kool aid.

I'd love to see Shaw go to NE IF other teams pass on him in the draft. no one develops white boy talent like NE.
