Default Mookie Wilson on Life After the Mets

Mookie playing at Carolina was mostly before my time, so I didn't know that he had decided to forego the draft to come play for us under former Yankees great Bobby Richardson. Any memories from any of you old timers? Why did Richardson leave the school?

Mookie Wilson on Life After the Mets

The former New York Mets outfielder Mookie Wilson talks to Dave Itzkoff about his new book, ‘‘Mookie: Life, Baseball, and the ’86 Mets,’’ his career after the Major Leagues and that infamous grounder down the first-base line.

Default Re: Mookie Wilson on Life After the Mets

Coach Richardson left in 1976 with over 200 wins and a World series apperance against Texas "5-1" lose , he tried his hand in politics but fell short. My soph. year 1977 coach Raines took over and the program has never looked back.
