My brother had smoked a lot and preferred the bourbon soaked Ramrod brand. Don't know if those are still a thing or not.

Connoisseur? No but I do enjoy 6-12 in a year if that many. Not an expert by any means. There's a Sir Toms about 3 miles from my house and I use them almost exclusively. I tend to go with the majors, Montecristo, Macanudo, Punch. I also take their recommendation on some others when I want to change it up. La Mission is also a good one. I got some Roma cigars at a place in Charleston once and those were excellent.

Try out an Opus X next time. One of my favorites.

I have one every now and then. I normally grab a Macanudo when the mood strikes me.

Depends on the occasion. Celebrating an occasion or milestone? Grab a Griffin's Classic. Smooth and mild. Anyone can enjoy. Poker game? Get a Partagas Black Label. Dark stubby smoke sure to intimidate. Rolling a blunt? A peach White Owl will do.

The Don Diego Reserve is my personal favorite. For a wealth of info on cigars, I suggest visiting Cigar Dave's website. He has a weekly syndicated radio show broadcast from Tampa every week. If the show does not air where you live, you can listen online.

Probably not all that great, was it? I've had a few Cuban sticks myself in The Bahamas and Bermuda, and they were no better that your average everyday cigar you can get anywhere. But considering the best minds in the industry fled Cuba for the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, and other countries with a comparable climate after Castro and his goons seized most private property, that comes as no surprise.

There's a couple of cigar stores around Columbia that sell "Cuban rejects", that are about the same size and taste as a "Cuban" cigar. They're actually pretty decent and cheap too!

I have a buddy who is a cigar connoisseur. He's kinda got me into them over the years. I tend to lean towards CAO and Drew Estate products when I have a cigar.
