I wonder the same thing. Would our generation step up to the plate like this generation did? What would happen if a war broke out today and Americans had to give up their cell phones (for example) for the cause?

There has been plenty of wars the US has been involved in after WW2, just not recently one big enough that required a draft. Vietnam required one.
