![]() Is an Apple TV worth the money? Thinking about getting one but wondering if it's really worth it. A little tired of paying TWC all this money when we don't even watch half of the channels

![]() The Roku 3 is a vastly superior device and you can get it cheaper. The only thing Apple TV has going for it is if you already have other apple devices.

![]() I use Apple TV solely because it connects with my iPhone and iTunes... Don't know anything about the other similar devices.

![]() What's your intended purpose for it? Unless it's being paired with other apple products, you're probably better off getting google's chromecast ($35) or a Roku.

![]() I have Apple products, which is one reason why I'm interested in one. I have an iPad and my wife has an iPhone and iPad Mini. I plan on getting an iPhone when my upgrade comes as well

![]() If streaming your library is a big deal and you have no other way to do it on the big screen then go for it. It will be the most seamless experience in that regard. Keep in mind you can only have one Apple ID logged in at a time, though I'm not sure if that affects which products can use AirPlay or not.

![]() It works well if you are already enslaved by apple as i am. The thing is though without a xfinity account or similar you obviously dont get espn3. At that point (and assuming no hbogo account) you really need a Netflix (in which case the iphone control is nice but not a huge difference to roku id guess) or rely 90% on what you stream from computer/ipad/iphone. I works well for me.

![]() Not sure of what format you store your music in, but I have heard people have quite a time trying to play FLAC files over the airplay due to the inability of Itunes to support it. If you don't use that format I guess it doesn't matter, but that is the majority of my music so I thought I would throw that out there. Aside from that issue I have heard good things about it IF people have other apple devices.
