Penn State Safety Gets Probation for Fight
PENN STATE SAFETY GETS PROBATION FOR FIGHT Penn State safety Anthony Scirrotto was sentenced to one year of probation, 25 days of community service and a $500 fine after pleading guilty to one count of defiant trespass related to an off-campus fight. Scirrotto was involved in the fight in April of 2007 at an off-campus apartment. Two people were hurt. Scirrotto had previously been charged with felony criminal trespass and summary harassment, but those charges were dismissed in his plea deal. It is not known whether this plea will result in any team or school discipline. Former Penn State defensive tackle Chris Baker is awaiting trial on charges related to the same incident. Scirrotto will be a senior next season and is expected to start at safety, as he has the last two years.
