This is not good. These players probably firmly believe Sampson when he says he didn't lie. If Sampson is telling the truth and he believes it, then he is saying you cant fire me now for something that happened 5 months ago.
All these players have a right to stand by there coach! Even if he is fired the Players are probably going to be put on probation for something they didn't do! No win for these guys!

If they think Indiana Basketball won't just move on with all new players they shouldn't be in college in the first place. They are clearly too dumb to get into Indiana without basketball if they think this little hissy fit is going to work. IU could field a group of walk-ons for the remainder of the year and still make money...maybe more so because of the story...and would simply re-load next year and play the game with all freshman if needed. Will it set them back? Sure it will but that is what always happens when you get caught cheating...AGAIN!!

You can't let these guys run your program. You have to call their bluff. If you don't then you're an absolute joke and you WILL lose control of your program and school.
