hey, i am interested in going to south carolina, I was wondering if anyone had information on the club hockey team

there is one actually... I couldnt help you out on how to try out or anything, lol be it that I dont live down there anymore, but if you ask around, Im pretty sure someone can let you know how to be apart of the hockey club.

go there and just go through the student registry from one of those guys and they will give you more info or even go out to a game of theirs.

cause the university has to play wait and see to see if the team can flourish. its not going to dump thousands of dollars into a program if its just going to fold after a year or two. it took Kentuckys program years before it really got going. now its been going on for about 35+ years and gets about $100,000 a year to support the team.

USC didnt pay anything my junior year but come my senior year it fronted $1,000.

Welcome to club sports. When I was coaching lacrosse last year we had a 50 man roster with everyone paying $1000 or so. We got about $1500 from the school.

The university isn't going to front anything resembling a plural of thousand...the entire club sports budget is less than $50K, with most of that going to overhead, not directly to the club programs.

If anyone has any information on the hockey team, it would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to transfer to USC next fall to finish school and play hockey. I am from Grand Forks, ND and have grown up with the sport and am currently a student at the U of North Dakota...
