My greatest online comeback

So I had one of my better online ranked comebacks last night. Here's the situation: ITS LONG BUT A GOOD READ I THINK

I get matched up with this guy online in a ranked game. He had a really good record something like 150 wins and only like 40 or so losses. He chose LSU I chose Wisconsin. I Won the coin toss and immediately I notice this guy isnt that great. He wasnt putting players in cheesy positions online like a lot of ppl do now but he was trying to cheese with holliday the fastest player in the game.

He scored first on me but it took everything he had. I was shutting him down for the most part but holliday was tough to stop. So I go on offense and he kept running out of the quarters defense and he kept pulling his DT off the line into coverage on every single play. I moved the ball with ease up the field and I get into the redzone and I cant get it in. I don't go for the FG and end up not scoring on 4th. I had a made a stupid no huddle call that pretty much cost me and I was fuming.

So he gets the ball back and goes back to his normal cheese stuff with holliday running him every chance he could. The guy just wasnt that good and I could feel it. He did move the ball up field on me though and I had him stopped on like 3rd and long but he was in scoring position. I was feeling like this was the turning point and he does his normal run play with holliday AGAIN and I completely stuff it had holliday for a loss BUT instead he turns and runs effing backwards like 20 yards. I unfortunately chose the slowest guy on my team to try and make a pursuit angle. Of course the CPU took awful angles as well and this guy SOMEHOW had turned it up field and scored on me. I was speechless and sent him a message saying how lame that was. He sent a message back saying "take notes bum".

I get the ball back by now its like the 2nd qrtr and Im really pissed and Im starting to struggle on offense now becuase of it. He didnt go away from his quarter defense at all and instead of running I was forcing the pass and i threw a pick into his zone and he took it back for a TD. Down 21-0 I felt like I was in the game if i could get a TD here. Only like a min left and I end up forcing it AGAIN and threw another INT. I was so pissed I could hardly pick a play, felt like throwing my ps3 out the window. Hardly any time left in the 1st half and he is in FG position close to a 60 yarder. He takes it and what do you know he leaves it short and my guy returned it for a TD with no time left on the clock at half.

Down 21-7 I had the ball first in the 2nd half. I stuck to the run and ran it down this mother effers throat. I absolutely killed his shitty quarters defense and I scored very easily taking quite a bit of time off the clock. Ohhhhhhhhhh how the tide had turned on the stupid dumb cheeser. Down 21-14 He got the ball back and by now I had figured out 99% of his offense which was give it to holliday. He kept getting first down after first down. His throws were constantly to the flat so I called a quarters cover 3 zone defense on a play where he threw it to the flats once again. Picked it off for an EFFING TD GAME WAS ON BITCHES! I had the adrenaline pumping big time and I could tell he was feeling like shit.

So he got the ball back in the 4th and its tied 21-21 here. He struggles but moves it up field and eventually he had to settle for FG to go up 24-21. I got the ball with around 2 mins or so left. I move it up the field VERY quickly almost a little too quickly. Around the 50 yard line on the scoring side of the field and he had me stopped for a 4th and long. It was a makeable FG for me but still way too much time on the clock that wouldve giving this douche enough time to make a FG of his own for the win. I go for it and make an unbelievable conversion on his quarters zone defense.

By now Im feeling it around a minute and some change left on the clock I go right back to running the ball. Running it right down his throat on his shitty ass quarters defense. I make another 1st down and by this time Im somewhere around the 20 yard line. 4th down and 5 yards left I SAY **** THE FG I WANT TO KICK THIS LOSERS ass so I go into the ace formation 4 wr set and i call a hb dive up the middle. Quite a ballsy call I run it right up his ass and get the 1st down I couldnt believe it I had him struggling so bad, on 1st and goal I call a no huddle get my guys back to the line quickly time is around 20 seconds left. Had a timeout left but said screw it. He changed his defense to a blitz I knew it was a blitz cuz his dumb ass had changed formations on me to stop the run. I audible to play action and hit my wr WIDE OPEN IN THE ENDZONE!

Greatest comeback Ive ever had, one of my greatest games ever. Needless to say he didnt send me any messages back lol.

If he was pulling a DT ionto coverage why the hell wouldnt u run an ISO all day long???? J/w Sounds like a pretty good game though

I pretty much did. I didn't really get into what plays I ran too much. Was trying to set the mood on the overall game rather than get into what plays I called. When I said I moved the ball with ease on my first possession I did run alot of hb up the middle type stuff out of the I formation. I didn't score though because I tried to get cocky and made a stupid mistake going no huddle.

After turning it over to him on downs and THEN giving up a retarded cheese TD to holliday in which he ran backwards I swear atleast 20 yards I was pretty pissed and gave up on the run and tried to pass on him which played into his defense.

O gotcha. I usually end up realizing in the 1st qtr that i cna run all day....then i get up a score or two and then start getting pass happy......I kno what u mean

I remember playing against some douche who was using Colorado while I was using USC. So this douche does nothing but hit their stud freshman back Scott in the flats literally the entire drive going up the field and gets a td at Willie B and has the never to send me a message talking shit.... I was going to play fair and not be a dick but I just sent am essage back saying okay... paused put Garcia in and, to make a long story short, I made this guy my bitch. Final score: 49-10. I hit well over 500 yards of offense on this guy and picked him off 3 times in the 2nd quarter alone.

no, i don't play ncaa online much at all....once our dynasty bit the dust, i put ncaa '09 away. i won't touch it again, but i'm pretty jazzed about '10 coming out. the custom team thing should add a whole new layer of replayability (as long as the gameplay isn't effed).

I tried playing online, I just don't like breaking shit around my house...so I stopped playing. I have a hard enough time being cool playing COD.

Awesome story though...makes me want to put in NCAA 09.
